SBA Certified 8(a) Business

The Small Business Administration (SBA) established this nine-year program to help socially and economically disadvantaged companies compete in the federal marketplace.

You can award a sole-source 8(a) contract if:

You determine that the qualified small business is responsible
The resulting contract can be awarded at a fair market price
The government estimate doesn’t exceed $7 million for manufacturing requirements or $4 million for all other requirements

NASPO ValuePoint

The cooperative contracting arm of the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) a non-profit organization formed in 1947, comprised of the Chief Procurement Officials of all fifty states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Territories; to promote public procurement throughout the country.

NASPO ValuePoint facilitates administration of the NASPO cooperative group contracting consortium of state Chief Procurement Officials for the benefit of state departments, institutions, agencies, and political subdivisions; as well as other eligible entities including cities, counties, special districts, community colleges, universities, and some quasi-governmental and nonprofit organizations.

The Best-in-Class 8(a) STARS III GWAC is a small business set-aside contract that provides flexible access to customized IT solutions from a large, diverse pool of 8(a) industry partners. The 8(a) STARS III GWAC:

Supports both outside of the continental United States (OCONUS) and CONUS requirements,
Features limited protestability up to $10M, and
Offers expert guidance from the GSA team, including free scope review services and market research
